DUBUQUE, Iowa – The City of Dubuque is gearing up for its annual Halloween Parade, set to fill the streets with spooky cheer this Saturday, October 18, at 7 p.m. The parade will kick off at Washington Park and proceed north along Locust Street, concluding at 15th Street. Attendees can expect a lively procession filled with costumes, floats, and Halloween spirit, drawing residents and visitors alike to celebrate the season.

To accommodate the event, several streets along and near the parade route will be closed from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday, October 18. The affected streets include:

•  Locust St. from W. 4th St. to W. 16th St.

•  W. 5th St. from Bluff St. to Main St.

•  W. 6th St. from Bluff St. to Locust St.

•  W. 7th St. from Bluff St. to Locust St.

•  W. 15th St. from Locust St. to Iowa St.

•  Main St. from W. 15th St. to W. 17th St.

Additionally, parking will be prohibited along these streets starting at 5 p.m. on Saturday until the streets reopen after the parade. Motorists are also reminded that Main Street remains closed from W. 5th Street to approximately one block north, near the edge of the 500 Main St. property, due to ongoing construction.

City officials advise drivers to avoid the parade area or plan alternate routes during the closure period to minimize disruptions. For any questions regarding the street closures, contact the City of Dubuque City Clerk’s Office at 563.589.4122.
