Project Description

Central Iowa Power Cooperative (CIPCO) will be performing critical overhead power line repairs on Dutch Lane Rd. The work includes replacing a transmission pole and conducting maintenance on the overhead lines.

The repairs are located just north of the bridge over the railroad. For safety reasons and to accommodate heavy equipment, Dutch Lane Rd will be completely closed throughout the length of the work zone during the repair period.

Traffic Impact

•  Full Road Closure: No through traffic will be permitted in the work zone.

•  Motorists will need to use alternate routes around the closure between Old Highway Rd and Highway 20.

•  Local residents and property owners will be granted access where possible, but significant delays should be expected.

•  Emergency services will have access coordinated with the contractor and Dubuque County.

Recommended Detour

No official detour has been specified in the current notice. Drivers are encouraged to use Highway 20 and surrounding county roads to bypass the closed section. Please follow all posted detour signs and temporary traffic control devices that will be installed.
