On September 17, 2022 at approximately midnight, Beth Mcvay, age 50 of Platteville, was driving her 2018 GMC southbound on CTH D in Lima Township. Beth lost control of her vehicle end went into the right side ditch striking an embankment and culvert. Beth then went into a residence in the area without permission to charge her cell phone to call for a ride. Beth then left the scene of the crash.

The crash and trespass were reported approximately 9 hours later by the property owner. Beth was not injured in the crash and the vehicle sustained moderate damage.

Beth was cited for hit and run, failure to report a crash, failure to maintain control, and trespassing. Assisting at the scene was SOS Towing.
