Dubuque County has issued a road notification regarding temporary travel delays associated with the 2026 Farley Fire & EMS Benefit UTV/Side-by-Side Ride.
The event is scheduled for Sunday, September 20, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Dirty Ernie’s is hosting its annual UTV/side-by-side ride, which benefits the Farley Fire Department and EMS.

According to the county notification, temporary delayed travel is expected primarily along Holy Cross Road (approximately 23.93 miles). Additional roads that may be affected include Cross Road, Prier Road, Lansing Road, and sections near Dyersville East, with delays possible as needed during the event window.
Motorists traveling in the area—particularly around New Vienna and surrounding rural routes—should allow extra time, watch for UTV traffic and event participants, and follow any temporary traffic controls or directions from event staff or law enforcement.
This annual ride supports local first responders. Residents and travelers are advised to plan alternate routes where possible and drive with extra caution on the affected roads during the event hours.
