DUBUQUE COUNTY, IA — Dubuque County officials have announced a temporary road closure on North Cascade Road for a culvert replacement project.

The construction is scheduled to begin Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at 8:30 AM. The work affects a 1.66-mile stretch of North Cascade Rd between Swiss Valley Rd and English Mill Rd.

The road will be completely closed at the location of the culvert repair, approximately 100 feet west of 14145 North Cascade Rd. Crews will close the roadway for the length of the work zone while the repairs are completed.

The estimated duration of the project is one day, depending on weather conditions. Motorists should plan alternate routes and allow extra travel time.

Drivers are advised to remain cautious near the work zone and follow all posted signs. Updates will be provided if weather or other factors extend the timeline.
