Construction Closure – Thursday, August 6, 2026

Dubuque County will close a section of Kearney Road for a culvert replacement project beginning Thursday, August 6, 2026, at approximately 7:15 a.m.

Affected Roadway

Kearney Road from North Cascade Road to Karper Harbor Road (approximately 2.96 miles).

Closure Details

The road will be completely closed at the work zone for the duration of the repairs. The closure is located roughly 250 feet west of North Cascade Road. Access through this section will not be available while crews complete the culvert work.

Duration

Repairs are expected to take one day, weather permitting. Motorists should plan for possible delays or the need to use alternate routes.

Drivers are advised to seek detours around the closed section of Kearney Road and allow extra travel time. Please drive carefully near the work zone and follow all posted signs and flaggers.
