HAZEL GREEN, Wis. – A two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Highway 11 and Highway 35 in Jamestown Township sent one woman to the hospital and left another driver with minor injuries Friday morning, the Grant County Sheriff’s Office said.

Deputies responded to the scene around 11:20 a.m. on July 25, 2026, and found that a 2018 Jeep Cherokee and a 2019 Honda Civic had collided in the intersection.

According to the sheriff’s office, Anna Haldiman, 22, of Dubuque, Iowa, was driving the Jeep east on Highway 11. Brian Denemark, 56, of Cascade, Iowa, was driving the Honda west on Highway 11 and had stopped in the intersection, waiting to turn south onto Highway 35.

Investigators say the traffic signal for Highway 11 changed from yellow to red as Denemark attempted to complete his left turn. At the same time, Haldiman tried to continue east through the intersection. The front of the Jeep struck the front of the Honda.

After the impact, the Jeep left the roadway on the south side of the intersection, entered a ditch, struck a tree and flipped onto its passenger side. The Honda came to rest in the middle of the intersection. Both vehicles sustained significant damage.

Haldiman suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported by ambulance to a hospital in Dubuque. Denemark sustained minor injuries and was evaluated at the scene but refused further medical transport. A 22-year-old passenger in Denemark’s vehicle was not hurt.

The Grant County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Dickeyville EMS, Hazel Green EMS, Jamestown First Responders, Jamestown Fire Department, East Dubuque Police Department, Jo Daviess County Sheriff’s Office and Donnie’s Tire.

The crash remains under investigation.
