We’ve started to get a few questions about road closures and detours connected to next week’s visit by RAGBRAI. If you’re wondering how you are going to be able to get around the city next Saturday, here are some key details…

Vehicle traffic will be able to cross the RAGBRAI route at certain designated intersections. Our officers will be directing traffic at these crossings:

  • Pennsylvania Ave. at the Northwest Arterial
  • Pennsylvania Ave. at John F. Kennedy Rd.
  • Loras Blvd. at Central Ave.
  • E. 14th St. at White St.
  • Rhomberg Ave. at Fengler St.

𝗞𝗲𝗿𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝗕𝗹𝘃𝗱.
Traffic will also be impacted on Kerper Blvd. After completing the ride at A.Y. McDonald Park, many riders are expected to use Kerper Blvd. to exit the “dip site” area. RAGBRAI support vehicles will travel in dedicated lanes in each direction on Kerper Blvd.

𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀
All vehicles will be required to be moved off of the RAGBRAI route by 6 a.m. on Saturday, July 25. Residents living along the route should find alternate parking beginning the evening of Friday, July 24, through 7 p.m. on Saturday, July 25. Signs with details about parking restrictions will be posted along the route next week. Vehicles in violation of the parking restrictions will be ticketed and towed.

Additional detailed maps of the RAGBRAI route can be found in the “Locals” section of DubuqueRAGBRAI.com
