Dubuque County, Iowa — Motorists traveling on Sundown Road should prepare for temporary traffic restrictions beginning Tuesday, September 15, 2026.

Culvert work is scheduled to start at 7:00 a.m. on Sundown Road between East Pleasant Grove Road and U.S. Highway 151. The project covers approximately 4.61 miles.

The road will remain open during construction. However, travel will be restricted to one lane controlled by flaggers during daylight hours. The work is expected to last approximately 10 to 12 days, depending on weather conditions.

Drivers are advised to allow extra travel time, follow flagger directions, and exercise caution through the work zone.
