DUBUQUE, IA — As summer vacation begins, the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Dubuque and the Dubuque Community School District are teaming up with City of Dubuque Parks & Recreation to ensure no child goes hungry while school is out. Starting June 1, free nutritious meals will be available at multiple locations throughout the city for children and teens ages 18 and under.
The initiative, part of the USDA Summer Food Service Program, aims to bridge the “nutrition gap” that occurs when school-year meal programs end.
