BOSCOBEL, Wis. — A 65-year-old Woodman man suffered non-life-threatening injuries Sunday afternoon when he lost control of his Harley-Davidson motorcycle on a curve along County Trunk Highway M in Watterstown Township, authorities said.

The Grant County Sheriff’s Office responded to the single-vehicle crash around 3:53 p.m. near the 4000 block of CTH M. Deputies determined that Steven Gebhard was traveling eastbound when he failed to negotiate a left-hand curve. His 2015 Harley-Davidson left the roadway, entered the right-hand ditch, and traveled down a steep embankment before flipping over and coming to rest in an adjacent field.

Gebhard was ejected from the motorcycle during the incident. Despite not wearing a helmet, he was able to walk to a nearby residence and request that someone call 911. Emergency responders transported him by ambulance to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries.

The motorcycle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene by Terry’s Tire and Tow of Boscobel.

No other vehicles were involved, and authorities have not indicated speed, impairment, or other contributing factors at this time. The crash remains under investigation by the Grant County Sheriff’s Office.

Boscobel EMS, the Boscobel Fire Department, and Terry’s Tire and Tow assisted at the scene.
