TOWN OF NORTH LANCASTER, WI — A two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Highway 61 and Highway 129 sent a Fennimore man to the hospital and resulted in a citation for a Lancaster teen Monday afternoon.

According to the Grant County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were notified of the crash with possible injuries at approximately 4:40 p.m. on April 21, 2026. Grant County Deputies, Lancaster Police, and emergency medical personnel responded to the scene at the north end of the intersection.

An investigation determined that Craig Edge, 54, of Fennimore, was driving northbound on Highway 61 in a 2023 Chevrolet Blazer. At the same time, Aurora Fritz, 19, of Lancaster, was traveling southbound on Highway 61 in a 2007 Chevrolet Impala.

As both vehicles approached the Highway 129 junction, Fritz attempted a left turn onto Highway 129, crossing directly into the path of Edge’s oncoming vehicle and causing the collision.

Authorities confirmed both drivers were wearing their seatbelts, and airbags deployed in both vehicles. Edge sustained reported injuries and was transported by Lancaster EMS to a local hospital for treatment. Fritz declined transport by emergency medical services at the scene.

Both vehicles suffered severe damage and were towed from the scene by Bennett’s Towing and Arrow Towing, both of Lancaster.

As a result of the crash, Fritz was cited for Failure to Yield Right of Way While Making a Left Turn.

The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Lancaster Police Department, Lancaster EMS, the Lancaster Fire Department, and the two towing companies.
