Dubuque, IA – A 35-year-old , Ary Corey Matthew, was arrested early Saturday morning at 10068 Boleyn Rd. following an incident that led to a range of charges, the Dubuque County Sheriff’s Office reported.

The arrest occurred at approximately 8:07 a.m. and was conducted by Deputy D.J. Kearney. Matthew faces 10 charges, including:

•  Kidnapping in the second degree

•  Assault on persons in certain occupations involving a weapon (felony)

•  Willful injury causing serious injury (felony)

•  Going armed with intent (felony)

•  Burglary in the first degree (felony)

•  Criminal mischief in the fifth degree (misdemeanor)

•  Possession of a controlled substance (misdemeanor)

•  Possession of drug paraphernalia (misdemeanor)

•  Driving while barred (misdemeanor)

•  Out-of-jurisdiction warrant (misdemeanor)

Authorities have not released detailed information about the incident, which took place at a single-family home in a residential area of Dubuque. The charges suggest an altercation involving illegal entry and possession of a weapon, though no further details about the circumstances or any victims have been disclosed.

Matthew is currently in custody at the Dubuque County Jail awaiting his initial court appearance. The Sheriff’s Office stated that the investigation is ongoing and encouraged anyone with information to contact them.
