Due to railroad duct trenching, Railroad duct trenching involves installing underground conduits beneath railroad tracks to house utilities like electrical cables or communication lines. This process requires specialized techniques to ensure the safety and integrity of the railroad infrastructure.
14th St at the railroad crossing between Elm St. and Sycamore St. will be closed from 8 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 4, until 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 5.
Motorists will need to follow the posted detour and/or use a different route during this time. View a map of current closures/detours.
