  • Yesterday, a federal district court judge ruled that the state’s enforcement of immigration laws is unconstitutional and unenforceable, stating that this responsibility lies entirely with the federal government.
  • Last April, Governor Reynolds signed legislation allowing undocumented immigrants to enter Iowa after being deported and barring them from re-entering or leaving the United States if ordered to do so. The bill was to take effect on July 1st.
