Grant County Wisconsin – On Monday, December 4, 2023, at approximately 4:01 PM, the Grant County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of CTH D and Pioneer Road in Platteville Township.

Kristi L. Simons (61) of Platteville was traveling south on CTH D in her 2013 Chevy Equinox. Troy D. Moen (52) of Platteville was traveling north on CTH D in his 2018 Ford F150. Moen attempted to turn west on Pioneer Road but instead, turned into the path of Simons causing a crash at the intersection. Moen and his passenger were not injured in the crash. Simons was transported to Southwest Health Center for treatment of her injuries. Assisting at the scene was the Platteville Fire Department, Southwest Health EMS and Precision Towing of Platteville. The crash remains under investigation.
