6-16-2023 Dubuque In Pursuit News

On June 13th, 2023 at approximately 5:12pm, Jo Daviess County Deputies responded to a 2 vehicle traffic accident with injuries. Upon further investigation, it was determined that Abigail Osneyling Rivera Castro, 19, of Shullsburg, was operating a red GMC Terrain northbound on Elizabeth Scales Mound Road and proceeded into the intersection on Stagecoach Trail without stopping at the stop sign. Her vehicle hit a black Dodge Caravan driven by 43-year-old Jennifer Hanson, of Window Illinois, travelling eastbound on Stagecoach Trail. Hanson had two juveniles in the vehicle with her.

All parties were transported to area hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.

Castro is charged with disregard for a traffic device, no driver’s license or insurance. 

This incident remains under investigation and all parties are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
