Borcherding had been northbound on CTH N when she lost control of her vehicle on the slippery roadway before striking an embankment, which caused disabling damage to her vehicle. Borcherding went on to confess that she had talked with Taylor on the night of the crash, and that she had used Taylor’s phone to contact her father. Deputies followed up with Taylor, who admitted to obstructing officers.

Borcherding was cited for failure to report an accident, failure to maintain control of her vehicle, operating while suspended, and failure to wear her seat belt.
