Takeaways From The Mark Fischer Murder Trial So Far
Fisher is accused of murdering Bernice M. Williamson inside a home in the 2100 block of Clarke Drive on July 15th, 2021. Fisher was the last person to see her that day and police collected camera footage from private and city surveillance cameras along with other evidence used to charge him.
• In testimony Wednesday, a DNA expert said that a pipe found in Fisher’s home had traces of Bernice’s blood on it and clothing in the home tested negative for blood.
• A pawnshop employee testified that Fisher pawned some coins and jewelry after the murder, belonging to Williamson.
• A junkyard employee saw Fisher in the yard saying he was acting fidgety. The employee said Fishet left a pair shoes behind with blood droplets on them.
The trial resumes Monday. Fisher is charged with first degree murder.
