At about 1:40 a.m. on 05/11/22, the Jo Daviess County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a single motorcycle crash with injuries on Ferry Landing Road, about a mile southwest of West Cross Road in rural Galena.

Investigating deputies discovered that Louis T. Clark, 24, of Galena thrown from his motorcycle , the driver of the motorcycle, was traveling northeast on Ferry Landing Road when Clark lost control on some loose gravel, and drove off the roadway into a ditch where the motorcycle overturned.

Midwest Medical Center transported Clark for treatment of his injuries.

Jo Daviess County Deputies cited Clark for driving too fast for conditions. The Jo Daviess Sheriffs office reminds the public that Clark is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

The crash remains under investigation.
