Based on Iowa court records, a Dubuque, Iowa County District Court Judge Michael Shubatt sentenced Gustavo Vasquez Ruiz, 38, to 20 years in prison for sexual abuse of a minor girl under 15, taking a plea deal.

Gustavo Vasquez Ruiz had sexually abused, a girl multiple times at a Dubuque home since September 2019 and was arrested at his home in March 2021.
