On March 23, 2022, at approximately 8:46am, the Grant County Sheriff Office received information on a crash that occurred on HWY 61 in Marion Township.

The initial Investigation revealed that Vanda Sailing, age 57 of Avoca, was driving northbound on HWY 61 in her 2017 Buick Encore. A 2017 Dodge Durango, driven by Lacey Bielfeldt 27 of Boscobel, came up behind her. Lacey was tailgating and honking her horn. Vanda slowed to pull over, and Lacey struck Vanda’s vehicle.

Deputy’s determined that Lacey and her husband Clint Bielfeldt, 36 of Boscobel, had a verbal argument in the City of Fennimore. Clint and Lacey left in separate vehicles. They were driving erratically and speeding. Lacey eventually passed Clint and got behind Vanda while blowing her horn. Lacey struck Vanda’s vehicle on purpose because she wouldn’t get out of the way. No one was injured in Lacey’s car. Vanda injured, was taken to a hospital. Both vehicles sustained minor damage.

This incident is still under investigation, but multiple citations forthwith. Assisting at the scene was Boscobel Police and Boscobel Fire and EMS.
