Three members of the Gerhard Family were injured in a one-vehicle accident when Robert Gerhard, 94, of Bellevue, Iowa, continued past a closed road due to the sun obstructing his view and struck a grader near Enid, Oklahoma. The accident happened on Saturday morning around 8 o’clock. Robert was taken to an Oklahoma City Hospital and is in stable condition.

His passenger, Connie Gerhard, 67, of Asbury, Iowa, was taken to Saint Mary’s Regional Hospital in Enid and transported to OU Medical Center. Oklahoma City Hospital and is also in stable condition.

A 15-year-old male was also transported with minor injuries and released from Saint Mary’s Hospital.
