On 2/16/2021 at 8:13 AM, The Grant County Sheriff’s Office responded to a 3 vehicle crash on Sate Road 80/81 near Weygant’s Appliance in the Platteville Township.

Dustin Hach, age 28 of Muscoda, was operating his 2006 Chevy Tahoe with three juvenile passengers. Roberto Navejas, age 22 of Whitewater, was driving his 2012 Nissan Murano. Hach was halted while traffic in front of him turned off the road. Both vehicles were south bound on HWY 81/81. Navejas looked down at his cell phone and when he looked up, noticed traffic was stopped. Navejas could not stop in time and struck the rear of an an unknown silver Volkswagen car. The unknown Volkswagen then struck the rear of Hach’s vehicle. The Volkswagen next fled the scene of the accident. Hach’s car sustained minor damage to the rear bumper, and Navejas’s vehicle received disabling frontal end damage. They reported no injuries because of the accident.

SOS Road Rescue Towing of Platteville towed the vehicle . Navejas was cited for inattentive driving.
