On 12/2/2021 at approximately 08:21 pm the Grant County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a vehicle that had struck a building in the town of Jamestown.

The operator of the vehicle, Christopher J Runde, age 46, of Cuba City, was attempting to stop his vehicle in the parking lot of Tri-State Fitness when he experienced a brake system malfunction. Runde was unable to avoid striking the front of the Tri-State Fitness building. Runde’s vehicle, a 2005 Dodge Ram 3500, caused moderate damage to the building’s interior and exterior wall. Neither Runde nor the buildings occupants were injured during the crash.
