
DUBUQUE, Iowa — Two men were arrested Wednesday morning on second-degree theft charges in connection with an alleged incident in Dubuque.
Kyle Rudolph, 18, was arrested at 9:32 a.m. Sept. 16 at 770 Iowa St. on a charge of theft in the second degree — all other larceny, a felony. Jaden Theodore Schmitt, 19, was arrested at the same address about 12 minutes later, at 9:44 a.m., on the identical charge.
According to court records, the Dubuque Police Department filed criminal complaints against both men on Sept. 11. On Sept. 15, District Judge Robert J. Richter ordered arrest warrants issued. The Dubuque County Sheriff’s Department served the warrants the following morning.
The cases are filed in Dubuque County District Court as State of Iowa vs. Kyle Rudolph (case number 01311 FECR165671) and State of Iowa vs. Jaden Theodore Schmitt (case number 01311 FECR165670).
No further details about the alleged theft were immediately available. Both men are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
