Fennimore Township, WI – On July 3, 2026, at approximately 12:32 P.M., the Grant County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on a 2014 Ford Fusion on Highway 18 for traffic violations.

During the stop, officers identified the driver as Leonardo Lopez, 26, of Boscobel. A records check revealed that Lopez had five prior convictions for driving without a license. He was arrested for Operating Without a License (6th Offense) and transported to the Grant County Jail. Lopez was also cited for no insurance.

The case has been referred to the Grant County District Attorney’s Office for review and charging.
