DUBUQUE, Iowa — A 32-year-old Dubuque woman is being held on a child endangerment charge after police said she exposed two children under age 7 to drugs, including methamphetamine.

Airika C. Carr, of 1993 Asbury Road, was arrested at 1:41 a.m. Friday, Sept. 11, 2026, at 23rd and Valeria streets on a warrant. She is held under a $10,000 cash/surety bond, with a court date of Sept. 21, 2026. Jail records list her as a white female.

Police reported the children were exposed to drugs. Limited public details link the case to methamphetamine.

Children face heightened risks from methamphetamine through environmental contact, residue, or accidental ingestion. Young kids are especially vulnerable due to hand-to-mouth behavior and developing systems.
