Dubuque, Iowa — An 18-year-old man was arrested Friday evening during the popular Radio Dubuque/Dubuque Jaycees Fireworks and Air Show at A.Y. McDonald Park, according to court records.
Dalton James Merkes, described as a white male, 18 years old, faces two misdemeanor charges: Disorderly Conduct (fighting/violent behavior) and Public Intoxication. He was taken into custody at approximately 10:06 p.m. on July 3, 2026, at 1200 Hawthorne St. in Dubuque, the site of the annual Independence Day celebration.
