DUBUQUE, Iowa — Kendall Vinod Sheth, 49, was arrested Thursday, June 11, 2026, at approximately 11:48 a.m. at 770 Iowa St. on charges of probation violation (felony) and probation violation (misdemeanor). Officer S.A. Kamm made the arrest.
The arrest stems from Iowa District Court Case No. 01311 FECR158120 (State of Iowa vs. Sheth, Kendall Vinod). Court records show a bench warrant was issued the day prior by Judge Thomas A. Bitter. Sheth filed an application for counsel on the day of his arrest.
Background
Sheth was previously convicted in March 2025 of Theft in the Third Degree (aggravated misdemeanor), amended from a second-degree felony charge. He received a suspended two-year prison sentence, 24 months of probation, and a suspended $855 fine. A related driving-while-barred charge was dismissed.
Multiple probation revocation hearings had been scheduled earlier in 2026, with recent motions for continuances and a plea hearing set for July 6, 2026.
Sheth remains in custody pending further court proceedings. He is presumed innocent of the new violation charges until proven otherwise.
