DUBUQUE, IA — Mark your calendars and dust off your gold and black gear, Tri-States. Semi-pro football is returning to Key City, and the energy at Chalmers Field is about to hit terminal velocity.

On Saturday, July 11, 2026, at 6:00 PM, our Dubuque Miners will march back onto their home turf at the University of Dubuque to clash with their fierce rivals, the Burlington Blue Devils.

The Rematch: Defending the Turf

This isn’t just another regular-season matchup; it’s a battle for Midwest United Football League supremacy. Earlier this season, the Miners scraped out a thrilling, down-to-the-wire 22-20 victory over the Blue Devils on their home turf at Tony Romo Field in Wisconsin.

You can bet Burlington is coming to the Key City with a chip on their shoulder, looking to avenge that razor-thin loss. But the Miners have shown they are held to a absolute “Gold Standard” this summer, dominating opponents with an explosive offense and a punishing defense that features standouts like linebacker Mitch Mcelmeel and defensive back Kentarion Johnson.

More Than Just a Game

A Miners home game is a full-blown community event. Beyond the bone-crushing hits and highlight-reel touchdowns, packing the stands directly builds local opportunities. Proceeds from the stadium’s canteen and ticket sales directly fund the Miners’ youth leadership programs and community outreach initiatives across the Tri-States.

The Miners have done their job on the road, and now it’s time for Dubuque to protect the home front. We need Chalmers Field loud, proud, and completely packed to recreate that signature, hostile environment for visiting teams. Bring the family, gather your friends, and let’s show Burlington what Tri-State football culture is all about.
