A 73-year-old registered sex offender from Dubuque, Mark Morgan, will likely spend the remainder of his life in prison after being sentenced on numerous counts of child pornography and other charges in Dubuque County District Court.

Morgan was recently ordered to serve a minimum 35-year prison term. He was arrested last June by the Dubuque Police after being tipped off about his activities earlier that year. During a search, police discovered images and videos of young girls on an electronic device found in his possession. The investigation also involved the use of an undercover officer posing as a 12-year-old girl online to catch Morgan attempting to entice a minor.
