
Dyersville, Iowa — A 68-year-old man from Alburnett was injured Thursday evening when his Harley-Davidson motorcycle left the roadway and struck trees in a rural Delaware County crash.
The incident occurred at approximately 6:34 p.m. on May 15, 2026, near the area of 332nd Avenue and Vine Road. According to the Iowa State Patrol minimal crash report (Case No. 2026124025), Michael Allen Wieland was traveling southbound on 332nd Avenue as the only occupant of a 2024 Harley-Davidson motorcycle. The motorcycle departed the roadway into the west ditch and collided with a group of trees.
Wieland sustained injuries and was transported by Bi-County Ambulance to MercyOne Dubuque for treatment. No other vehicles were involved in the single-vehicle personal injury crash.
The motorcycle was towed from the scene by Tegeler Towing. Iowa State Patrol Trooper Roth (Post 10) responded and was assisted by the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office, Dyersville Police Department, and Bi-County Ambulance.
