May 16th 9am is our archery tournament. We have kids in three different skill levels who will be shooting for trophies that day. From beginners, to intermediate, all the way to advanced these kids have been working all year to improve their skills and prepare for the tournament.

The Salvation Army of Dubuque in celebration of National Salvation Army Week May 11th-16th has a week full of events. We are inviting the public to join us for an informative and fun week. All events will be held at our building located at 1099 Iowa Street in Dubuque.

May 11th starts our Battle of the Burgers fundraiser for our food pantry-simply go to one of the four participating restaurants, Culvers, Sonic, Kelly’s Place, and the Doghouse and order the burger in the challenge. Then vote for your favorite and let’s see who has the best burger. This event will go to June 5th culminating on Donut Day

May 11th 6pm we will be holding the end of our program’s celebration. The Americana Band will be kicking the event off with presentations by our youth band and our youth choir. There will also be a ballet performance by our beginner’s ballet and finishing the night with our Character-Building Court of Awards where the kids receive their badges for the work they have done.

May 14th 6pm-7:30pm we will be hosting an Open House at our building. We are offering tours, signups for our programs, food, and drinks. There will be prizes for adults and kids as well as information about what we do and who we are.

May 15th 6pm Our first annual gaming tournament will take place in our game room. The games we will have for the tournament are Smash Brothers and Mario Kart. There will be signups starting May 1st-May 14th for all games. Limit of 20 people per game and trophies will be awarded. If you like these games and want a challenge, come sign up.
