DUBUQUE, Iowa — A 30-year-old Dubuque man faces five criminal charges after authorities responded to a domestic incident Tuesday morning at an apartment complex on North Cascade Road.

Kenneth Rashod Wilson was arrested at approximately 5:24 a.m. on April 28, 2026, at 14674 N. Cascade Rd. on charges including:

•  False Imprisonment (misdemeanor)

•  Domestic Abuse Assault by Impeding Air or Blood Flow Causing Bodily Injury (felony)

•  Domestic Abuse Assault With Injury — Simple Assault (misdemeanor)

•  Child Endangerment (misdemeanor)

•  Contempt — Violation of a No Contact or Protective Order (misdemeanor)

The arrest was logged under case number AR 2026001140. Officer A.J. Harwardt is listed in the report as handling the case.

According to the available arrest information, Wilson, identified as a male, 30 years old, was taken into custody at the scene. No further details about the specific circumstances of the incident, any injuries sustained by the victim(s), or the ages or number of children involved were released in the initial public arrest log.

Iowa law defines false imprisonment as the intentional and unlawful restraint of another person’s movement. Domestic abuse assault involving impeding air or blood flow is treated as a more serious felony due to the potential for serious physical harm or strangulation-related risks. The additional simple assault charge alleges a domestic abuse assault that caused injury but did not rise to the felony level on its own. Child endangerment charges typically involve placing a minor in a situation that creates a substantial risk to the child’s physical, mental, or emotional health. The contempt charge indicates Wilson allegedly violated an existing court-ordered no-contact or protective order.

Wilson’s current custody status, bond amount, and any scheduled court appearance were not immediately available in the public arrest bulletin. Under Iowa law, individuals arrested on these charges are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
