Flexible Participation for Busy Families

The Miracle League understands that life gets busy. Unlike traditional leagues, there is no mandatory commitment to attend every Saturday. Players and their families are encouraged to participate as often as their schedules allow. Come when you can, play when you’re able—that flexibility is part of what makes this program so welcoming and sustainable for families.

What Makes the Miracle League Special?

The Miracle League of Dubuque was created with a simple but powerful mission: to ensure that children and adults with disabilities—who are often excluded from conventional baseball leagues—can experience the joy, camaraderie, and personal growth that come from being part of a team.

Key features include:

•  A custom-designed, cushioned rubberized turf field that is 100% wheelchair-accessible and injury-preventive.

•  A completely flat surface with no barriers.

•  Accessible bleacher seating for families and spectators.

•  An integrated all-inclusive playground nearby.

•  A supportive “buddy” system, where each player is paired with a volunteer buddy for one-on-one encouragement and assistance.

•  Game rules designed for maximum fun and inclusion: every player gets a chance to bat each inning, reaches base safely, scores runs, and contributes to team success.

This isn’t just adaptive sports—it’s a community celebration where ability takes a backseat to participation, friendship, and fun.
