…WINTER STORM WATCH IN EFFECT FROM LATE FRIDAY NIGHT THROUGH LATE
SATURDAY NIGHT…
- WHAT…Heavy snow possible. Total snow accumulations of 6 or more
inches are possible. Winds could gust as high as 25 mph. - WHERE…Portions of north central, northwest, and west central
Illinois, east central, northeast, and southeast Iowa, and
northeast Missouri. - WHEN…From late Friday night through late Saturday night.
- IMPACTS…Roads will likely become slick and hazardous. Travel
could be very difficult due to slippery conditions and reduced
visibility. - ADDITIONAL DETAILS…There is a moderate to high probability for 6
or more inches of snow across a large portion of eastern Iowa,
northwest Illinois, and into northeast Missouri. The snow is
expected to spread in from west to east Friday night into early
Saturday morning. Periods of snow are expected to continue through
Saturday and could be moderate to heavy at times.
