The incident, recorded under Case AR 2025007833, took place at approximately 2:15 a.m. on November 2, 2025, at 101 Main St, an address often associated with late-night venues in the downtown district.

Officers K. Frick and J. Kimball were dispatched to the location following reports of a physical altercation or “fighting/violent behavior.” The charge listed for both individuals is a misdemeanor count of Disorderly Conduct—fighting/violent Behavior.

The first individual, 30-year-old Spencer Phillip Beaver, was taken into custody at 2:11 a.m. Within minutes, 31-year-old Ryan Joseph Cady was also arrested at the same address at 2:17 a.m. The close proximity of the arrests and the shared case number strongly suggest that both men were involved in the same brief but violent incident.

Both Beaver and Cady were booked and processed at the Dubuque Law Enforcement Center. They face charges for the misdemeanor offense, which is typically addressed through a court appearance where the individuals will answer to the charge of causing a public disturbance. The police report did not detail the cause of the altercation or if either individual sustained injuries.
