
DUBUQUE, IA – On September 4, 2025, at approximately 9:15 PM, Cein Michael Lee Palecki, a 22-year-old male, was arrested at 10396 Lake Eleanor Rd by the Dubuque County Sheriff’s Department. The arrest, executed by Deputy C.J. Winch, followed a series of alleged criminal activities, resulting in seven charges against Palecki.
According to authorities, Palecki faces two felony charges: Assault on Persons in Certain Occupations with Use/Display of a Weapon and Eluding – Speed Over 25 MPH Above the Limit. Additionally, he was charged with five misdemeanors, including Interference with Official Acts Causing Bodily Injury, Possession of a Controlled Substance (Marijuana, 2nd Offense), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Driving While Barred, and an out-of-jurisdiction warrant.
Court documents indicate that multiple criminal complaints were filed by the Dubuque County Sheriff’s Department on September 5, 2025. Palecki also submitted an application for counsel and a financial statement, and a pre-trial release evaluation was conducted by the Department of Correctional Services in Dubuque on the same day. An appearance for multi-case filings was scheduled, with Amanda Jane Lassance listed in connection to the case proceedings.
Palecki is currently in custody at the Dubuque County Jail, where he awaits further court proceedings. The public is reminded that all individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
