DUBUQUE COUNTY, Iowa – On Sunday, August 24, 2025, the scenic roads of rural Dubuque County will come alive with the roar of utility task vehicles (UTVs) as Dirty Ernie’s and the Research for the Kids organization host their 6th Annual UTV Benefit Ride. This beloved community event, running from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM, promises a day of adventure, camaraderie, and support for a worthy cause.

The 62.67-mile ride will wind through some of the county’s most picturesque routes, including Old Highway Rd, Gun Club Rd, Bankston Park Rd, Asbury Rd, Five Points Rd, Cedar Ridge Rd, Hales Mill Rd, Burtons Furnace Rd, Durango Rd, Sherrill Rd, Mud Lake Rd, Golf Lake Rd, Circle Ridge Rd, Balltown Rd, Ridge Rd, N Buena Vista Rd, Tollgate Rd, and Holy Cross Rd. Participants can expect a thrilling journey through rolling hills and charming countryside, all while contributing to Research for the Kids’ mission to support pediatric medical research.

Route

To ensure the safety of riders and residents, temporary delayed travel restrictions will be in place along the event route from approximately 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Local authorities have confirmed that emergency vehicles will maintain access throughout the event, ensuring minimal disruption to critical services. Residents and travelers in the area are advised to plan alternate routes during these hours to avoid delays.
