A former para-educator at Hempstead High School in Dubuque, Iowa, has pleaded guilty to charges related to an inappropriate sexual relationship with a student.

Elizabeth Dunlap, aged 40, faced charges for sending nude photos on Snapchat sexually exploiting the student.

Her next court appearance, a disposition hearing, is scheduled for October 13, 2025, in Dubuque County District Court and a Pre-sentence investigation report was ordered by Judge Michael Schubatt July 28th.

Dubuque Police arrested Dunlap in January 2025 following an investigation that began in November 2024, prompted by reports from Hempstead High School students about her involvement with the student.
