DUBUQUE, IOWA — The countdown is officially on! With just nine days to go, the Dubuque County Fair is preparing to open its gates for six days of community celebration, family fun, and agricultural showcases. The 72nd Annual Dubuque County Fair runs from Tuesday, July 22, through Sunday, July 27, 2025, at the Dubuque County Fairgrounds.

Presented by the Dubuque County Farm Bureau, the fair promises an array of attractions for all ages. From the familiar scent of funnel cakes to the roar of engines, the fair is set to be a highlight of the summer season.
Visitors can look forward to a packed schedule of entertainment and activities, including:

• Free Grandstand Entertainment: Each night, fairgoers can enjoy high-energy shows at no additional cost beyond gate admission. The lineup includes the exciting Truck & Tractor Pulls on Friday and Saturday nights, as well as a Demolition Derby and Classic Stock Car Races on Sunday.
• Live Music: The Festival Garden will host live music every night, offering a perfect spot to relax and enjoy the evening’s atmosphere.
• Thrilling Attractions: The fair will feature a classic carnival with rides for all ages, the daring Steamer’s Thrill Show, and a show of magic with Special Head the Flying Magician.
• Family-Friendly Fun: The younger crowd will be delighted by the Amazing Bubble Factory, the impressive Tiger Encounter, and the hands-on DNR Wildlife Presentations. Fair classics like the Pallet Maze, Kiddie Car Show, and barns filled with 4-H and FFA livestock exhibits will also be on display.
• Food and Contests: A wide variety of food and beverages will be available, alongside competitive events like a sizzling cook-off and hilarious eating contests.
