
DUBUQUE, Iowa – On June 9, 2025, Taylor Michael Lange, a resident of Dubuque, entered a guilty plea in Iowa District Court, resolving multiple charges stemming from incidents reported in late 2024. The case, identified as 01311 AGCR157196, originated in Dubuque County and was created on October 21, 2024.
Lange faced a total of five charges. The original counts included two counts of domestic abuse assault with intent to inflict serious injury and child endangerment, all classified as aggravated misdemeanors and dated October 20, 2024. Additionally, two counts of contempt for violating a no-contact/protective order, dated November 18 and November 27, 2024, were filed. Following negotiations, the court dismissed the first count of domestic abuse assault with intent to inflict serious injury and the child endangerment charge. Lange pleaded guilty to the second count of domestic abuse assault, a second offense, and both contempt charges.
The case began with a criminal complaint filed by the Dubuque Police Department on October 21, 2024, Lange hit a women and fractured a bone in her face. leading to his Arrest and appearance before Judge Monica L. Zrinyi Ackley.
A no-contact order was immediately issued, and a $7,500 cash bond was set during a bond review on October 23, 2024. Pre-trial release evaluation and discovery orders were also processed on the same day. Jonathan Michael Dunn appeared as counsel for Lange during the proceedings.
Lange was sentenced to two years in prison according to court documents by Judge Robert Richter.
