DUBUQUE, Iowa – On April 2, 2025, the Dubuque Police Department was alerted by the Iowa Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force about a case involving suspected Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM), flagged by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

Investigators identified the suspect as a Dubuque County resident employed at Hempstead High School. The Dubuque Community School District was informed, and the suspect was placed on leave. The ongoing investigation involves computer-generated images of students, among other CSAM. Police are contacting affected students and their families, with plans to reach out to additional victims as identified. To protect the investigation, no further details are available now, but updates will follow its conclusion.
