Lancaster, WI – May 7, 2025 – The Grant County Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC) is joining the state of Wisconsin in celebrating two significant observances: ADRC Month and Older Americans Month. Governor Tony Evers has proclaimed May as a time to recognize the invaluable contributions of older adults and the vital support provided by ADRCs across the state.

The theme for this year’s Older Americans Month is “Flip the Script on Aging,” encouraging Wisconsinites to challenge age-related biases and recognize that aging is a dynamic, life-long process. According to Lori Reid, Director of the Grant County ADRC, “Our older residents are not just aging—they are leading, giving back, and shaping the future. We’re proud to serve and support them through every stage of life.”

The Grant County ADRC provides unbiased information, caregiver support, and benefits counseling to empower individuals and families to make informed decisions and plan confidently for the future. Throughout May, the ADRC will celebrate these statewide observances by recognizing the wisdom, advocacy, and strength of the county’s older residents and spotlighting the essential work of ADRC staff.
