Wisconsin – On March 19th, at approximately 9:03 AM, the Grant County Sheriff’s Office received a report of multiple vehicles in a ditch near mile marker 1 in Jamestown Township. Law enforcement, along with Dickeyville EMS, Jamestown First Responders, and the Jamestown Fire Department, and an ambulance from Dubuque, responded to the scene.

Upon arrival, law enforcement learned that a 2009 Ford Escape, driven by Kyaira Benoit, 32, of Platteville, was traveling southbound when she lost control on the icy roadway. The vehicle veered into the west ditch, colliding with a large metal highway sign before coming to rest on the hillside, sustaining significant damage.

Traffic congestion ensued due to the crash, causing a 2018 Ford Escape, operated by Mason Hullerman, 33, of Lancaster, to rear-end a 2024 BMW X3, driven by Anthony Canfora, 29, of Madison. Hullerman’s vehicle sustained substantial front-end damage, while Canfora’s vehicle sustained damage to the rear end. Fortunately, all three parties reported minor injuries and were transported to Southwest Health Center in Platteville for treatment.

The Grant County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by various towing and service providers, including Donnie’s Towing, AutoMotion Towing, Kieler Service Center, Dickeyville EMS, Dubuque EMS, Jamestown First Responders, and the Jamestown Fire Department.

Due to the inclement weather conditions, on March 19, 2025, the Grant County Sheriff’s Office responded to a total of 1 personal injury crash, 3 property damage crashes, and 8 slide-offs (without any reported damage).
