Dubuque, IA – On September 23, 2024, Tavon Demarcus Baylock, a 25-year-old resident of Chicago Illinois , was arrested on multiple felony charges after being extradited back to Dubuque.

The charges include two counts of Attempt to Commit Murder, Intimidation with a Dangerous Weapon, Reckless Use of a Firearm Causing Property Damage, and Dominion/Control of a Firearm by a Felon.

• The arrest took place at 770 Iowa Street at approximately 3:54 PM.
• The charges stem from an incident that occurred on June 23, 2022. Dubuque Police responded to reports of shots fired in the area of West 23rd Street and Central Avenue. Following a thorough investigation, authorities determined that Baylock was in one vehicle and fired several shots from a handgun at two men in another vehicle.No injuries were reported, but the incident resulted in significant property damage.
• Baylock is currently being held at the Dubuque County Jail awaiting trial on a $750,000 cash bond.

He was severing time in the WESTERN ILLINOIS CORRECTIONAL CENTER for a felon in possession or use of a firearm.
