Two Injured in Dubuque County Collision

DUBUQUE COUNTY, IA — Two people were injured in a two-vehicle collision on the morning of September 16, 2026.

The accident occurred at approximately 7:30 AM at the intersection of Highway 20 Westbound and Cox Springs Road. According to the crash report, a 2013 Ford Edge driven by Emily Samantha Tillander, 24, of Peosta, was traveling southbound from Cox Springs Road when it failed to yield the right of way to westbound traffic.

Tillander’s vehicle was struck on the driver’s side by a 2018 Toyota RAV4 driven by Candis Marie Grap, 34, of Dubuque.

Both drivers sustained injuries in the crash. Grap was transported to MercyOne Dubuque by Peosta EMS. Tillander was transported to Finley Hospital in Dubuque by Epworth EMS-AirCare. Both drivers were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the accident.

The scene was cleared with the assistance of the Dubuque County Sheriff’s Office, Peosta Police Department, Peosta EMS/Fire, Epworth EMS/Fire, Midwest Diesel, and Wenzel Towing.
