One Vehicle Crash-Fail to Notify

On October 13th at approximately 7:05am, the Sheriff’s Office was notified of a one vehicle crash on Barker Hollow Road, north of Military Ridge Road, in the Township of Millville.The caller reported finding a truck in the ditch with nobody around.

The responding Deputy was later able to contact the registered owner of the vehicle, Keith Loney, age 71 of rural Prairie du Chien. Loney told the Deputy he had been operating his 1997 Dodge Dakota around 1am on Barker Hollow Road when he fell asleep and went into the ditch. Loney eventually got a ride back to his home and failed to notify law enforcement of the crash. Loney was wearing his seatbelt and was not injured in the crash. The truck received moderate damage and was towed.
