On Wednesday, September 14th, 2022, just before 11am, the Grant County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a two vehicle crash with blockage near the intersection of Highway 35/61 and Airport Road in the Town of South Lancaster.

John Brinkmann, age 81, of Cassville was cited for failure to maintain control after an investigation determined that he was operating his 2011 Chevy Equinox when he failed to notice a Scenic Rivers Energy Cooperative truck, driven by Eric Van Natta, slowing down to make a left hand turn onto Airport Road. Brinkmann was unable to stop before rear ending the Scenic Rivers truck, causing minor damage to the truck. Brinkmann was evaluated by EMS on scene and released. His vehicle was a total loss. Van Natta reported no injury.
